  • Brandi Bair

    Brandi has taught Pilates, dance & fitness for over 25 years. She was formally trained in ballet, tap, jazz & modern, performing throughout Los Angeles & Ventura Counties. In the 1990’s, she was a company dancer at Moorpark College (Southern California) & Allan Hancock College (Central California) and continued with formal dance training at local studios. Brandi was first introduced to Mat Pilates in 2001 while taking a dance fusion class at her local gym. She immediately fell in love with Pilates' movement-focused exercises & its similarities to dance. After completing her Pilates training in 2004, Brandi began teaching Reformer, Mat & Barre classes and offering private sessions at studios throughout greater Sacramento. In 2013, Brandi opened salt Pilates ('Strong And Lean Toned bodies'), operating out of various rental spaces in East Sacramento, before settling in at the studio located on the corner of Folsom & 34th Street in 2015. Brandi regularly practices Pilates & yoga and enjoys long walks with her daughters & their Shepsky, Zöey. Outside the studio, she loves to cook amazing food, eat amazing food, drink delicious wine, bake scrumptious desserts, design handcrafted jewelry, and laugh with friends.
  • Mychelle Crown

    Mychelle is a multi-award winning Professional Bellydance Performer/Instructor & Professional Fitness Instructor, with a specialization in Mat and Apparatus-based Pilates. She has been featured on local KCRA Channel 3, FOX 40 News, and Good Day Sacramento. With over ten years in the fitness industry, Mychelle draws on her extensive skills to create her dynamic & knowledgeable approach to wellness.
  • Krysti Davis

    After abusing her back for many years as a gymnast and diver, Krysti learned about pilates while attending school for kinesiology. Because of her practice she benefits from the relief of back and shoulder pain. Krysti completed her training through balanced body in 2014 and is currently pursuing a secondary training through STOTT pilates to enhance her practice and further her education. Pilates helps Krysti excel in rock climbing and acro yoga by staying balanced in her mind/body, maintaining pelvic stability and strengthening core muscles. One of Krysti's proudest moments was climbing Cathedral Peak YinYosemite, over 900 feet of rock-face.
  • Beth Merrill-Belval

    Beth’s journey to Pilates began over 10 years ago when she started working for world-leading Pilates equipment maker Balanced Body. This allowed her to study under, and alongside, some of the industry’s best teachers. Previous to that, Beth was a group exercise instructor and personal trainer. She is an avid runner and hiker and has seen the benefits that regular Pilates practice has brought to each endeavor. Beth is also a sommelier and manages the tasting room at Due Vigne winery in Clarksburg. She can spend hours talking about dogs (labs!), books (especially Tolkien), movies, wine, and food.

  • Kristyn Asseff

    Kristyn hails from Cleveland, Ohio, but has made the west coast her home for the past twelve years. Hooked on Pilates from her first reformer lesson in 2007, she still finds the balance, alignment, and waking up of muscles as the way to feel the best in her body. She trained through the BASI teaching method in 2016 and focuses on safety while building strength and stability. It makes her so happy to connect with clients and help them discover new muscles, support, and pain relief. When she’s not teaching, she’s working on freelance writing and editing, getting fresh air outside, definitely not crying at whatever season of The Voice is currently on, or making friends in one of Sacramento’s cool coffee shops.
